A retaining wall fails from behind. Water builds up, the soil saturates, the load doubles, and the face pushes out.
The visible block is the easy part. What keeps a wall standing is the base preparation, the geogrid at the specified intervals, the drain rock, and the outlet that actually daylights. We build to the stamped engineering, and when a wall is tall enough to require an engineer under local code, we will tell you rather than build it and hope.
Because we are already doing the excavation on most of these sites, the wall footing and the site cut get coordinated as one operation instead of two mobilizations.
